The Piaggio iGet engine built between 2018 and 2020 complies with the Euro 4 emission standard. The standard ECU limits the revs so your scooter stays at 25/45 km/h. If you want to remove that limiter, an unrestricted ECU Euro 4 is the only way to do it. A CDI or other adjustment does not work on this engine. 50cc or 80cc

Cylinder capacity and emission class together determine which ECU you need. Fitting an 80cc cylinder on your iGet without the matching ECU will cause the engine to run poorly.
Resetting the TPS
Some ECU units require a throttle position sensor (TPS) calibration after installation. If you do not do this, the scooter will not start or will show error messages. The procedure is simple: turn the ignition on and off several times, then twist the throttle fully open and closed once. The exact steps are in the manual included with the ECU. Some ECU units in the range are plug-and-play and do not require a TPS reset.

How do I know if my Piaggio Zip has a Euro 4 or Euro 5 engine?
